Save me, hat..

So, Barnaby's just given a "get stuffed, Malcolm, I'm not going" press conference, wearing his biggest, cleanest hat by the looks!   Does he think the hat will save him in the bush?

Looking at twitter, his support numbers, already low, are just plummeting downwards....

Update:  someone else thought the big hat deserved ridicule, and created this very quickly

His hat is as false as he.

He wants everyone to think he is of the land when all he is is an ex-accountant and now politician.

Moreover his part y was one of personal values which he has now completely ditched. They are now as bad as the libs and the ALP

Well done Barnaby.

I should add this issue shows us who are actually social conservatives and whom are not.

who died and made you Crocodile Dundee, Homer?

what in the hell are you trying to say Soony?

I must admit to not understanding the Dundee reference, too...

I honestly don't get how dumb the Nationals are for rallying behind Barnaby. George Christiansen, for Gawd's sake, with a tattoo of the Virgin Mary and Jesus on his shoulder, and for whom the Catholic Church wasn't conservative enough so he moved to Orthodox, has been tweeting in defence of Barnaby's private life not being a proper matter of concern.

They are hypocrites of the highest order. The Nationals put person lives on the agenda when they claim to be social conservatives. Now we know they do not support the institution of marriage at all.

They are as bad as the Libs or the ALP

This idea Homer has that he's capable of sussing out who is 'real' country/bush

Well, OK.

Can't wait to see what this does for Newspoll for the Coalition. Worth a couple of percent drop, surely?

Pretty easy Soony he is trying to portrays himself as a farmer.
He isn't and he aint he has never been.

If you do not understand that perhaps go to Katesy's funny farm

everyone who lives in the bush is a farmer?

you're all hat and no cattle

Come on, Jason: don't you at least think the appearance of the big hat today looked a contrived bit of National tribalism? Give Homer (and me) that much!

I have constantly said man of the land or farmer NEVER simply living in the bush,
sigh

you wear a large hat to protect yourself fro the sun.You need that if you are a man of the land. If you merely live in the bush you may.

One other thing on this dreadful person.

He decides he will be a father again at 50???

He would be 76 when he walks down the aisle with his daughter (?).
