Another day, another Abbott government with the Generals photo

I still seem to be the only person commenting about how the Abbott government's persistent appearance on the TV news with set up photo opportunities with the Generals who will Protect Us an inappropriate use of the military and an embarrassing look internationally:

The only good thing that I hope comes of this is that the military may already be cheesed off about it.

You're the only one who's embarrassed, you fruitcake. Our Asian neighbors now look at us and say: "Gee, they've actually got someone in charge again. What a relief."

Actually, they (especially Indonesia) look at it and think "why are they dealing with a non military problem by looking as if they are getting ready to go to war with us."

And look at how delighted the top brass is in any of these meetings. They know are being used politically by Abbott, and there is absolutely no need for him to be doing so in order to put his plans into place.

No Steve, you're not the only one. I suspect there are hundreds of thousands who are embarrassed by Tony Putin. And highly embarrassed that the first order of business for the new government is "Operation Sovereign Borders". Playing to the xenophobic audience is always embarassing, and Tony Putin doesn't even have the excuse of Pauline Hanson.

I guess Cats can't read headlines like "TANTOWI YAHYA, INDONESIAN FOREIGN AFFAIRS COMMISSION (Last night): The policy will be very offensive and we in the parliaments fully support what was said by our Foreign ministers, that we will fully reject the policy."
